Start the Day

We start by picking you up from your hotel around 10.00am in late model comfortable AC vehicles and head to the beauty of the Kintamani region where you will enjoy an Indonesian lunch overlooking the stunning Lake Batur under the shadow of magnificent Mt Batur, a still active volcano

Top Quality Mountain Bikes

After lunch we will have the dual suspension mountain bikes ready to take you through the small gangs of rural villages. These bikes are designed for true mountain riding and after your village cycle/walk you will enjoy the fact that you have a top quality mountain bike as the roads are rough but you won't even feel the bumps.

View local traditional homes

Kedisan still has many traditionally made homes which can be viewed on this tour, from grass huts to ornate and beautifully designed family compounds. You will get off the bikes to walk and learn about the design of these homes.

You will walk past beautiful village temples and have the rare opportunity to view family temples and learn about traditional Balinese architecture and design.

Cycle on the Lake edge road

Beautiful views only obtainable by a small mountain road. After touring the village and visiting a farm you will cycle on a small back road cut in the edge of the mountain, stopping along the way for breathtaking photos. You will ride through 3 villages, this ride will go at your pace as you have plenty of time on a 2 night tour, this is a long ride but with plenty of stops.

Accommodation

Returning to your accommodation (backpacker style to newer style accommodation available), you can have a hot shower and relax and your dinner menu will be waiting for you in the restaurant. You will have your night's free to yourselves. You will probably want to head off to bed early and enjoy the cool mountain air. Bring warm clothes for the nights can get very chilly.

Canoe the Lake

After an early nights sleep you can start the morning with breakfast at any time you choose and then take a canoe (kayak)  out onto this beautiful 'holy lake' and share this great experience only with local fishermen. This is an experience only offered by C.Bali and one not to be missed! The canoeing is a lot longer on a 2 night tour, no rushing, just enjoy the peace and quiet on the water. (Note: not so still June/July/August due to winds.)

Hot Springs

After lunch you can spend the afternoon/sunset soaking in the luxurious Hot Springs beneath the mountain sunset. The Hot Springs are set in Resort Surroundings so a little luxury on your trip. You will be provided with a locker, clean pool towel, hot shower and a welcome drink. There is also a 30 metre cold swimming pool if you wish to swim laps, you can even have a beer at the swim up bar so take some money if you like.

A Dinner Menu will be waiting for you in the evenings at anytime you choose.

Optional Extra - Climb Mt Batur

After your activities you have time to explore the village of Kedisan for yourself (we will not be with you after the activities have finished), or you may want to have C.Bali organise for you a sunset climb of the still active volcano Mt Batur (best done on your second night/morning).

Transport

Check out the next day is 12 noon so you can leave any time you like after that to your next destination.  Transport at the end of the tour is available to most parts of Bali, fuel surcharges will be charged should it not be in our complimentary pick up area

Meals

On a 2 night tour we will share lunch with you on the first and second days but all other meals you will have by yourself and you can choose when to have them.  All meals are Indonesian, breakfast (pancakes, toast, eggs etc) and dinner (soups, rice dishes, chicken/fish, desserts) are a choice from a menu, vegeterian options are available.  Fussy Children can be catered for.

Why do a 2 Night Tour?

This tour suits those who want to do a longer bike ride and canoe ride but don't want to be rushed to leave the area.

Great for those wanting an introduction to village life and then explore it for themselves. The 2 night tour is also an affordable way to travel, all meals, non-alcoholic drinks, water, transport, activities and accommodation are included.

When are 2 night tours held?

2 night tours are held every 2 weeks in the dry season and the dates are advertised 6 months in advance. 2 night tours are not held during the peak of the wet season from mid December to mid February (note, late afternoon/evening rain is likely from November to April). 

Is this the tour for you?

The 2 night tour is not for everyone as the village has no tourist facilities and is very very quiet, unless there is a ceremony the village people go to bed early.  Suitable if you want to read a book or just get away from the tourist areas, there are no other restaurants or bars (apart from the one you stay at), no shopping, no massages etc. If you don't wish to stay 2 nights then we suggest our 1 night tour.
